MAGA 1909 experimental documentary in cinemas in 2024!

Serbian journalist, feminist, activist and modern dance pioneer Marija Maga Magazinović (1882-1968) visited Berlin in 1909 - this visit changed her life and the history of modern dance in Serbia forever. She paved the way of emancipation for generations of women in Serbia. We have followed in her footsteps in Belgrade and Berlin and danced her biography as a series of participatory dance improvisations at original locations with dancers and choreographers Milica Tančić, Mariana Hilgert and professionals and non-professionals from Berlin and Belgrade.
